Current Highlights

Tech and connectivity for students: Many students still need access to resources for online learning. Explore our new partnerships that help students get access to computers, the internet, and other resources.

AP district newsletter: A monthly e-newsletter for district leaders was launched in July. Haven’t gotten yours? Make sure you’ve selected the correct “primary job function” in your College Board professional account.

Course updates for 2020-21: The course and exam descriptions were updated for AP Computer Science Principles, AP Seminar, and AP Research. Visit each AP course page to learn more.

2020-21 School Year Support

We know this school year may be different. Here’s how we’re supporting teachers and students.

Resources for any learning environment: AP teachers and students have access to a suite of free resources that can be used in in-person, hybrid/blended, and online instruction.

Opportunities to earn college credit: We’ll support in-school testing in 2021 because it maximizes access and opportunity—but if school buildings are closed for safety concerns we’ll provide a contingency testing option that contains full course content.

Students can register with confidence: The $40 cancellation or unused exam fee is waived for students who later decide not to test.

Site Updates

Based on feedback from AP educators, we’ve made some changes to the AP Central website.

The AP Coordinators section has been renamed Exam Administration, Ordering & Scores. It has all you need to know about ordering and administering the exam and now getting scores.

The annual calendar, important updates, and resources for AP Coordinators can be found in the AP 2020-21 Updates section.

Learning & Development has been split into Professional Learning—to support educators’ career growth—and Instructional Resources—to help teachers succeed in the classroom.
